Tidbit #2 – Infographics

Very very interesting read. An article how about how people these days use information and graphics together to display information to the user which stands by itself.

Infographics

Some of the things I see these days makes me wonder, how did they do it and will I ever catch up!!!!! Happy reading folks.

Peace.

    Greetings fellow Lunatic,

Do you think Infographics are a fad that will pass or here to stay? I wouldn’t bother using one in a meeting, but they do have good marketing value.
That said, I would rather get my information in a simple bullet form summary.

    What do you think?

    Greetings fellow lunatic!

It gives me immense pleasure to be hailed by kin. And you have some interesting material on your site. Very outspoken and a lot of anger. It is refreshing!

To answer your question now, I think they will be here to stay, but they may not be all that and a bag of chips.

It really depends on who your audience is and what you need to do to grab their attention. There may be instances where simple bullets will work best. In other instances, nothing less than good well laid out charts will help you get ahead of the competition.

Like the other day at my work, we were asked to put together a good demo for a potentially huge client, a bank, and they wanted all sorts of graphs and charts on the dashboard. In this case, many companies vie for the attention of those officials whose attention span is less and a couple of good infographics will help!

Glad you enjoyed my site, I know it’s not everybody’s cup of tea.

Feel free to drop a comment or two with a link back to your site, I’m happy to share the link love.

I suppose there will always be the concentration span of a goldfish upper management who need pretty pictures to understand what they are way too much to do. But even they prefer one graph at a time and would be overwhelmed with anything but the most basic of infographics…. Just saying :)

BTW: Swing round to my blog tomorrow, I’ll have a new post up that further explores how cars are like girlfriends, this time based on cars that I have owned.

The Mad Hatter continued, “Yes. You can always take more than nothing.”

I must say when you write based on your experience it is more fun to read and gives the readers a little bit more to associate it with themselves.

I will visit and speak up more often.

About the infographics, I hear you. If only everyone was smart enough. Only the software developers have to go the extra mile to keep everyone satisfied!

    Why is a raven like a writing-desk?

Unfortunately, when I write from my experience, there are words and phrases that would not lend themselves well to my customers and employers… Hence the need for my anonymous ranting blog.

And now my fellow Lunatic, I have a challenge for you. Write a new blog post before this next week is up, and I shall link to it from one of my more legitimate Blogs!

Because it can produce a few notes, tho they are very flat; and it is NEVAR put with the wrong end in front!

I’m learning a lot about Lewis Caroll. All knowledge is good knowledge :)

I understand the need for being anonymous. In an age where employers scan facebook profiles to decide if you get your job, an anonymous blog to rant is a good thing to have.

While it is necessary to present a professional face, it is also necessary to have a place where you can rant. It is a sort of freedom of speech without being persecuted by the customers or employers. It is good to let out all that pent up energy. :D

I will accept your challenge. It has been a while since I doled out some quality information. It is about time I did and this is a good incentive to that end. I’m also curious to look at your legitimate blogs. Look forward to mine in a couple of days.
